Dear,
Hello!
When I refer to the example "Traveling Wave Mach-Zehnder Modulator", in the sep4 "to calculate the RF properties of the transmission line the MODE solver", i find the background index is 1.95 in FDE. From my understanding, the top of transmission line should be the air, so its setting is 1.Can you please help check this setting?
Thank you very much!

Hi Jianping,
The background index here corresponds to the oxide box. Here for oxide in RF, we used a refractive index of 1.95.
