SubscriberHi. I am trying to simulate the temperaure sensor for High temperature ranges with the help of FBG in Lumerical. But i am stuck after the step of finding the reflection parameter. kindly guide me how to simulate the temperature sensor. the steps mentioned in the help are also not clear regarding the steps to be followed.

Ansys EmployeeYou will either need to use HEAT solver to simulate the temerature, or have refractive index at different temerature if you know the data. You can import the material refractive index at each temperature in a different material name, and sweep the material at different temperature with different material data.
You can refer to this example for FDTD-HEAT simulation: Â https://optics.ansys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041686234-Photothermal-heating-in-plasmonic-nanostructures

SubscriberThe module available in the lumerical for FBG temperature sensor.... speaks about using the MODE and INTERCONNECT softwares .... kindly gude how to use them for temperature sensor simulation.

Ansys EmployeePlease follow the steps in the example and if you have questions to a specific step please write a new post for each question.
If you read the intruction you will notice that the FDE model has built-in index change with temerature, which is the 2nd method I suggested previously:
You can change this model, or use HEAT simulation.
