Hello everyone,
I am currently running a simulation of a Double Pipe Heat Exchanger. I wanted to ask since the value of bulk temperature is changing throughout the length of the model in each domains, do I need to set a reference value to obtain accurate results?
Note: I use the average Heat Flux of the surface in CFD Post to evaluate the heat transfer coefficient.
June 5, 2021 at 7:29 amAmine Ben Hadj AliAnsys EmployeeReference values are generally constant. You might use now the yplus based htc value in Fluent.
June 5, 2021 at 7:32 amMohannadSSubscriberis it possible to elaborate further on the plus based HTC value? My flow is laminar, however, I have used inflation at the borders of each fluid domain. So how can I apply that?
June 5, 2021 at 9:00 amAmine Ben Hadj AliAnsys EmployeeYplus based means the reference temperature is evaluated at yplus. Default is 250.
If your flow is laminar than stick to the reference temperature provided on paper or experiment or at your inlet.
