SubscriberHi, I have multiple questions. The first one is about using system coupling with the student version of ANSYS. Can we use system coupling with free student versions ? Is system coupling compatible with the Linux system when it is submitted through schedulers ? Is system coupling compatible with containers ?
Â
Thanks

Ansys EmployeeHi Julio,
Please refer Download Ansys Student | Workbench-based Simulation Tools for application/features included in Free Student version.
System Coupling supports the job sumbmission via job scheduler (SLURM, PBS, LSF, and UGE). Sending a System Coupling job to a job scheduler requires launching System Coupling from the Command Line.

SubscriberDear Rahul, thank you very much for the information. Would you mind elaborating a little bit more? I did refer to the link you shared but it only shows information about the student-free version. I am more interested in understanding how to deploy a system coupling for FSI for HPC applications for a batch submission, not the GUI. IS that info available after installing the student-free version ?

Ansys EmployeeHi Julio,
Please refer the thread Can I use System Coupling with the Ansys Free Student Software? and System coupling manual Solving Co-Simulations from the Command Line (ansys.com)
Hope this helps you!

SubscriberRahul, I appreciate your help and guidance ! The thread was quite useful, but since I do not have a Account Number(Customer Number), I cannot complete the customer registration, so I cannot check the information on Solving Co-Simulations from the Command Line (ansys.com). I sent an email to the address shown on the registration form ANSYS-Community-Help@ansys.com but It bounced back. Is that information in PDF or available somewhere else? I get that the free student version does not support system coupling but that does not stop me from learning how to setup the script to submit in batch 2-way FSI studies on other HPC systems with the appropriate licenses.
