I have observed that, when I try to create a 3d model in ansys maxwell 3d, only "sweep along a vector" and "sweep along an axis" are active. The third option "sweep along a path" is inactive in the toolbar. I created a straight line and circle. And tried to sweep the circle along the line, by selecting both of them. But since the sweep along a path is not active, I could not do it. Am I doing it the correct way. Or is there any condition to be met for doing this. Thank you

Your description of operations sounds fine.
It looks like you are not selecting the polyline high enough up in the History tree window, the row called 'Polyline1' should be selected.
Double check your selecting against the image
