Submodel with frictional contact and bolt pretension

Hi I am trying to create submodel with frictional contact and bolt pretension, but pretension is not working properly in submodel.  I applied load at 1 step and lock at 2, pretension value as in figure below

What am I missing in this submodel? in initial model, working preload can be clearly observed as shown in status and pressure below - picture 3 and 4. Comparing status from my submodel - picture 2, I assume pretension works incorrect.

Does someone have experience with submodels and could help please?

      Hi,

Why are you solving bolt pretension and contact again? Is your region of interest not away from these locations? Please see if the following link is of any help to you:

Hi Ashish, thank you for link, I have seen it before, example from video is very simple - without any contacts and bolts. Here my point of interest is related to bolted connection, I would like to change plate thickness, bolts size and bolt preload value, global model is huge and solving lasts few hours. Could you please point me why bolt preload does not work as expected? Expected are status and pressure visible on last two pics - coming from global model and indicating there is clamping force from pretension applied.

      Regards

      Adriana
