Continually running into this error when launching fluent, can launch from the workbench with no issues but not on it owns. Following error:

Connected License Server List:

 

Unexpected license problem; exiting.

 

Hit return to exit.

 

Also, when running CFD-Post I get this error:

So far I have tried unintsalling and redownloading the entire package, unconfiguring and reconfiguring using Productconfig.exe

 

I am out of ideas.

After uninstalling, did you remove the directory
c:\Program Files\Ansys Inc\
Try the following:
Uninstall, rename c:\Program Files\Ansys Inc to c:\Program Files\Ansys_Old
Reinstall.

I tried it that way and the application opened fine the first time but now it has gone back to showing the error and failing to launch

Try the following:

rename the v242 directory that is under:
%APPDATA%\Ansys

to v242.old

now try to run.
If that doesn't work, check firewall software. Try disabling it for a test. then try to run.
Check firewall logs to see if it is blocking the program from checking out a license.
