STRAIN RATE MATERIAL MODEL

  Hello,
  To simulate sheet metal forming, I need to use the mat_242 (barlat & yoshida) material model. The problem is that the material model does not take into account the effect of deformation speed on stress. Is it possible to “work around” this problem without having to create my own material model?

  Not sure about a workaround, but perhaps the below documents help:

  MAT_133: MAT_BARLAT_YLD2000 is similar and has strain rate effects
  
  Also there are many other material model that should perhaps include strain rate effects.
