Steady-State Thermal – errors

      Hi All,

I am using student version of ANSYS Workbench 2024 for my master's thesis. I am trying to model a helping hand bracket on a concrete substrate and see how the temperature changes and hwo the thermal conductivity/temperature chart looks like.

When I import geometry it worked just fine at the beggingin but now I am getting this error constantly:

After that the model space is just gray.

I went back to the project I've started before where mdoel generated just fine and I was able to set boundary conditions such as different temperature on concrete face and on brackets arm face:

I've also run calcualtions and have results for this one:

When I've tried to change the temperature on one side of the model it stoped working. Solver shows error and I can't get results. Before that all I had to do was to start a new project. Not ideal as it takes time to set all engineering data etc. but at least it worked. Now I am encountering that model error and can't even start a new project.

Did anyone encountered this issue as well? Is there any way to fix it? ANSYS 2022 worked just fine and I was able to complete my engineering thesis with it. This time I had to switch to Dlubal RFEM because new version of ANSYS wasn't even able to generate mesh on a bracket (same model as before!). Now I've sipmlified the geometry, mesh generates just fine but the issue with importing geometry and solving the thing started.

      Best,

      Filip
