SubscriberHello everyone, I have a question regarding presenting stress results in a static analysis. I analysis an aircraft wing rib made of plywood. If I classified the material as orthotropic and provided the appropriate strength data like Young modulus, Shear modulus and Poisson ratio, can I present the stress results as Huber-Mises stresses?
Thanks for help

Hi
Â
We do not have such a stress result.
We have von Mises stress results.
Is that what you mean?
If not:
Can you explain and give some references / (e.g., equations) on this type of stress (Huber-Mises stress)?
Then perhaps forum members might be able to give some more feedback.
thank you
Erik
