First, you need to design your metasurface;
Second, you can create the desired "chirped pulse" as source signal. Please refer to Creating a custom source time signal for an FDTD source
Third, use a time monitor to pick up the first transmitted pulse. If the transmitted pulses are overlapped, I am not sure how do you reconstruct the signal.Â
