SubscriberI am trying to simulate and validate the spherical indentation (Hertz contact results) on an elastic half space. It would be a great help, If you share the Ansys file or let me know the details related to the simulation.

Ansys Employee,
A Hertzian contact problem is a a nonlinear contact model so you need to model the contact in detail in order to capture the pressure distribution. Since Hertz Stress is highly localized, you don't need to model a complete sphere, a half sphere will do. Depending on your problem, you may need to turn on Large Deflection Setting.
You can google "HERTZIAN CONTACT STRESS CALCULATOR" for common contact configurations.

Thank you,
