Thank you for the help. In the video link below, the method to create beam elements and conduct analysis in mechanical is illustrated. However, when I try to replicate the video tasks, I am unable to create the elements as shown. After I mirror the initial profile, I cannot create 'lines' connecting the initial sketch and the mirrored sketch. They appear on two different sketching planes and I cannot connect them. How to rectify this? In the video, no skecthing plane is used. The lines are under the 'curves' folder. How do I do this? Your help is much appreciated.

In the new versions, enable 3D sketching. Then draw the connecting lines
