I've done a sound pressure level simulation in an air assigned sphere with an incident wave source. The thing is I want to measure sound pressure level in a certain point INSIDE the sphere filled with a mesh. From what I know I can't use far-field spl mic, since it shouldn't be used inside a mesh and that's what I want to achieve. Besides that, it gives me wrong results for some reason. Do you know how I could measure frequency response for a particular, chosen point in space?

Hi
Q:The thing is I want to measure sound pressure level in a certain point INSIDE the sphere filled with a mesh
Answer: You need to pick the nearest node to this certain point and scope that to your acoustic results.
ALso you can split the geometry so you have a vertex at the point of interest, and scope that vertex to the acoustic results of interest.
All the best

Hi Erik,
is there a function in Mechanical that will help me with the first one?ÂYou need to pick the nearest node to this certain point and scope that to your acoustic results.
Or do I have to manually look for the node and manually look for an option to view Frequency response in that certain node?

Yes, manually pick/select the node (or if you create a named selection of it before) and scope it to the acoustic result of interest.

Okay, there's one, last question. I've been trying to select a node inside a meshed sphere, but even if I do section, it only allows me to select a node on the surface of a sphere. What can I do to select a node inside it, since the mesh is 3d and not only on a surface?
