SubscriberI am attempting to create a double-plated gate structure for this project. I have a solver pivot error on a vertical stiffener and am unsure of how to proceed. To my knowledge, the boundary conditions are set correctly and no coincident nodes are present in the model. Could be an ill-defined line geometry? If so, how should I orient the stiffeners in the double-plated gate?
This shows the stiffener with the error
This is the line geometry of the same stiffener.

Ansys EmployeeHi Yes, this typically refers to insufficient constraints, either with supports or contact regions.
1. Try to activate weak springs, see if it helps.
2. Run a modal analysis (especially for contact only constrained part)
