Solution combination for Harmonic Response and Static Structural

      Hello,

I am checking the structural integrity of a tooling under a sinusoidal load. To do this I have created a structural static analysis, a modal analysis and a harmonic response.

Now I want to combine the results of the structural analysis with those of the harmonic analysis with the solution combination. However, I do not know how to choose the frequency and phase in which the maximum stress occurs in the harmonic analysis.

I have used the Equivalent stress - Maximum over frequency and I get a stress of about 9.3 MPa. I have used the Frequency response to obtain the graphs of the normal and shear stress and thus see at what frequency occur the maximum stress. However, when entering the frequency in an equivalent stress I cannot obtain similar results as the results obtained with the Maximum over frecuency option.

How could I discover that frequency and the phase for which the maximum stress values occur in the assembly to be able to put it in the solution combination?

      Regards

      Hi

This KM/post describes in detail the different settings you mention.

      Hope it helps

I found this video with similar information (Harmonic Response Post Processing Stress Using Maximum Over Frequency using Ansys Mechanical). I paste the URL if someone have the same problem.
