SubscriberHello everyone, I want to simulate the temperature of an absorber plate in a cavity (3D Solar cooker) with reflective walls (aluminum) insulated by wood and covered with glass as shown in the photo below. I've attempted to apply a radiation model to determine the absorber and air temperatures inside the cavity, specifically utilizing the Discrete Ordinates (DO) radiation model. However, I've encountered an issue where the temperature does not increase over time.I have a few questions:Â1- Where should I apply the source term (UDF function) of solar radiation? Should it be applied only to the glass cover, only to the absorber, or to both?2- Which radiation model would be most suitable for my case?3- What are the appropriate boundary conditions for my study case (solar cooker)?Thank you very much in advance.I would be grateful for any comments or answers. -

Ansys EmployeeHello,
I assume the glazing trasmits the radiation and you have applied the appropriate BC for this. If the participating medium is just air or vacuum, then you can try S2S instead of DO model.
