We need to create small rounds with 0.01mm in Spaceclaim.
With old versions of Spaceclaim it was possible to add a suffix to the start line to make this possible Like this: "
"C:Program FilesSpaceClaim 2017.2SpaceClaim.exe" /uitolerance=smallest /noincubator="Small Units Modeling" /UseLicenseMode=true
Is this also possible with version 2023R1?
Please let me Know - Thank You

Hello Thomas Schmidt
You can also try this method as this should help you create small rounds with 0.01mm in SpaceClaim.
The model must be imported into a small unit space window of SpaceClaim in order to make changes smaller than 0.1mm.
Save the model as STP.
Then, close all open windows in SpaceClaim, leaving you with a gray screen.
Go to File > SpaceClaim Options > Units, and in the length, nanometer and micrometers will be available.
Select one of those small unit options. (This change will apply to all new documents). Then, open a new blank design. The unit space should be small units (you will see a small red icon in the top right corner of your SC window indicating the small unit space).
To import your model, go to the Assembly tab and click the Insert File button.
Then you will be able to edit your part with small units.Â
Let me know if this works for you. Thank you.

Devendra Badgujar No, that's not ok.
We have to work in "Units=mm" not in Micro- or Nanometer.
Â
I know the following Workaround :
Press key combination in Spaceclaim:
+ + + This gives you the menu item "DEBUG" in the Spaceclaim options Then set the "UITolerance" to "SmallUnit". Then rounds with 0.0001 are possible.
However, this setting is gone away when you restart Spaceclaim.
Â
But you have to do this after every start of SC.
Â
We are looking for a solution where this happens automatically at startup
On older Versions of SC this works fine

Hello Thomas Schmidt
As far as I know it should be possible to add a suffix to the start line to make this possible Like this: "
"C:Program FilesSpaceClaim 2031.1SpaceClaim.exe" /uitolerance=smallest /noincubator="Small Units Modeling" /UseLicenseMode=true
Another workaround is to scale the model up, make the round, scale it down. You can also record these steps using block recording so as to do this via scripting in SpaceClaim.Â

Devendra BadgujarÂ
Hello, after adding this suffix to the start line it is possible to create rounds with 0.02mm.
Is there a possibility to create rounds with Radius 0.01mm ?
In the process of Wire EDM we need this small rounds allmost in every project.
ThanksÂ

Thomas SchmidtÂ
You can try the other possible ways that I mentioned:Â
1. Using small units, as that will allow you to create dimensions below 0.1mm without any issue.
2. Scale the model up, make the round, scale it down.
Regards.
