SubscriberI'm trying to analyze putting this arch-shaped superelastic beam into a plastic sheath (polyethylene):
I'm trying to apply 2 forces to the ends and then a displacement to slide it in. I have large displacements, weak springs enabled, auto time stepping on with10 subsets, and and trying to apply just the forces to the ends (no displacement applied yet). I've tried several ways of constraining but I can't seem to find convergence. I haven't even defined any contacts/interactions yet
Should this be an explicit dynamics test instead? Any tips to help here?

Forum ModeratorHi,
Try solving the model in multiple steps. Applying displacement instead of force and then deactivating the same should help.
