SubscriberHello, I'm working at a big firm and I'm doing a PDN analysis. I'm aware of how to do the analysis - most often I need to do an impedance graf for some ICs and DC drops on the power nets.
But the problem I have is when I have a bigger project and have thousands of power nets. And some nets are divided by a ferrite, 0-ohm resistor, or a capacitor they are named differently (for example P_3V3_SW ---> $1N557--->IC). then the extended nets auto-identify function does not work.
Is the a possibility to start by selecting the power net and see on the layout what components are connected to it and what is the net connected on the other side of these components, so that I can select that ned too and set up my simulation?
I tried this: when I select the "starting" net I on open circuit element parameters and see the elements which are connected to this net, then I select them and click the button to fit them on the board (so that I can see them). THE PROBLEM is when I fit them it refreshes all the selected nets and I need to select them again. So this is not a working option...
I'm looking for the best and fastest way to select nets and I would be very grateful for someone to share some experience.

Ansys EmployeeHi Martin2 Probably best to rename the nets inside your original CAD tool.
