Hello everyone, I really need your help with something. When I move the top log to the right, I want to ensure the movement of the cylinder by making both rotational and translational movements. What should I do for it ? I tried everything but it doesn't work.

What is the analysis type are you looking for? Are you modeling the parts as rigid or deformable? If you can share what are the loads and boundary conditions that are being applied then the members on the forum can comment easily.
Some suggestions - define contact between roller and horizontal members as frictional one. There should be a normal force on the roller (may be by the weight of the horizontal bar on the top).

February 21, 2022 at 12:02 ammertnarinnSubscriberIn fact, this is exactly where the root of the problem stems from. I describe the ball as friction contact. I define the following log as the friction target.
-I fix the bottom part of the log with the fixed command.
-The ball and log are tangent.
- I want to turn on the gravitational acceleration and see the pressure the ball exerts on the log.
But when the process is finished, the ball goes down through the log. How can I fix this?

Note the time at which the ball leaves the log and define that time as the analysis end time.

February 21, 2022 at 7:52 pmmertnarinnSubscriberI think the problem is because I am trying to make hertzian contacts. Do you have any advice on using hertzian contacts in dynamic solutions?

February 23, 2022 at 8:45 pmmertnarinnSubscriberUnfortunately I couldn't find any solution. In the temporal analysis section, I define the friction contact with the upper and lower logs. I enter 0.2 as the coefficient of friction. I'm turning on the gravitational acceleration. I shift the log 50mm to the right but it never happens. Where am I doing wrong? I've been trying to solve this problem for a long time, it never happens, can you please help? I also shared the project file.

Do you still need help with this problem?
Best regards
