SubscriberIn motor, I am simulating for the performance characteristics of induction motor.in the efficiency plot I am getting a different plot at a higher speed.

Forum ModeratorWhat do you add into the model as boundary conditions etc? Higher speed means more power, but also (possibly) better heat transfer for cooling, and more drag on the moving parts. If you say which solver you're using I can move this to the correct physics group too.

SubscriberI am very much thankful for the reply. I am simulating the motor in the MotorCAD software tool. In MotorCAD may I know how to check for solver details

Ansys EmployeeDear Sampa The difference between Motoring and Generating mode efficiency is a real-life difference, and is due to the opposite direction of the power flow, hence the current, in your equivalent EMachine circuit. To visualize this better, you can analyze the equivalent circuit model of your IM design (the circuit parameters are available in Motor-CAD EMAG module under the OUTPUT tab)and compare the input and output power for the motoring and generating modes by simply reversing the direction of the current, whilst keeping the terminal voltage polarity fixed. Depending on your RL circuit parameters, the difference of efficiency can be minor or major. Please let us know if this clarifies. Kind regards. Kia

SubscriberHi, I'm trying to simulate battery thermal runaway by mechanical abuse, but i am getting this in console while simulating, need suggestions on how to overcome this problem.Â
