Simulating Magnetostatic Wave YIG Resonators in HFSS

      Hi

I'm trying to simulate the spin waves in YIG film using HFSS. There are many papers that have shown this simulation and I just want to repeat that. Here is one example:

"Dai, Sen, Sunil A. Bhave, and Renyuan ****. "Octave-tunable magnetostatic wave YIG resonators on a chip." IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control 67.11 (2020): 2454-2460."

I want to know if HFSS can solve the entire physics itself or if I need to write a whole new MATLAB script to process H-fields and give the results of MATLAB back to HFSS?

      Thanks for your help.

Please try cosimulation with Maxwell to get the material permeability and then feed it to HFSS to do the simulation.
You can also try feeding the material permeability characteristics using the data set feature in HFSS.
Kindly go through HFSS help document for more information on "datasets".
      Best regards.
