SubscriberHello,
I have been trying to simulate resin infusion process (transient) where I use VOF model for simulating the resin flow front, but when I choose the VOF model, I can choose the fraction of porosity but not the permeability values. Hence to mimic the porous flow I use Darcy's law (which Ansys uses too in other cases) to create a source term (- (viscosity / permeability) * velocity)
for momentum to restrict the flow and use the permeability through this, but the issue is, the time step size is directly proportional to the permeability value I put in the source term and the permeability value which I should use is very low so the time step is very low (in 1e-10 order) which is making it impossible to simulate the flow even for few seconds. Is there a better way of doing this or any work around?Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks for your time!
