Simulating clip spring FEA

I have a spring clip with material 301 spring tempered steel which is deformed gradually to snap onto a surface. I wish to find the stress along the clip when it deforms to its maximum deflection, and force exerted by the clip on the surface in its final state.

I have tried to model this using different methods. Each method is giving me different results. None of the result match the actual empirical data or known forces, stresses in the clip from the application. I want to understand where am I going wrong.

Following are the two models I have tried to simulate (displacement model, force model)

1). Displacement model - Fixed one end of the clip, using tabular data for deformation on other end.

The clip is assigned desired material with nonlinear effects turned ON:

      Hi
      ]We have symmetry here.
I would split the geometry into quarters and study only 1/4.

I would fix that back block completely then and push the clip into the box with an enforced displacement.

Also make sure you use the same properties and if needed use nonlinear material properties if you pass yield.

Below is a video on clip simulation that might help:

      All the best
