Setting Up Linear Induction Motor.

      Hi,

Our team recently started with the setting up of a linear induction motor(LIM). For this, we have set up transient analysis, our final aim from this simulation will be to calculate thrust produced by LIM.

In the below image black cuboid structure is the track that is placed at some distance from the LIM.

Hi @AayushAgarwal, the band object should be vacuum with the moving object nest inside. There are some rules of using band object, please refer online help for more detailed instruction.

HI, we have already made a vacuum enclosure.

      hi @AayushAgarwal.
-What is the objects that YOU want to move? the primary or the secondary? The moving object must have they own band. If you want to see the primary to move above the track, then you must enclosure the track in a movement band.
-If you desire to imposse the movement in the rimary, then first create a enclosure arround the primary (usually called dummy) and then you van enclosure the dumy in a motion band.
-Are you importing a mesh for your LIM? you have no mesh operations and the initial mesh of the transient anaysis is very inacurrate. if not, then do some mesh operations in the objects.
-Your track has back iron? you must put a back iron under the aluminium plate to allow the magnetic flux to pass trought the aluminium plate.
-No parameters configuration are done, you must put at leas assign a force to the plate or all the objects inside the dummy
-where are the coils assigned to each winding?
-I recomend to you using a 2D transient simulation before trying a 3D transient simulation.

the object you select is aluminum instead of vacuum. Note, if this is the moving object, you need create a vacuum box (band) to contain this object.

      Hi,
I started with 2d simulation and I am facing problem in mesh assignment and boundaries assignment.

      red,blue,yellow rectangular boxes are coils.
