setting up and post processing *PERTURBATION_NODE

I am trying to visualize the node perturbations defined using keyword *PERTURBATION_NODE

From the manual I see a post processing remark about user defined fringe plots but I'd like to visualize the actual 3D shape not just a fringe plot on the undeformed shape.

Did you try loading the d3plot file in LSPP instead of the k file? d3plot should show the perturbed model. You can also load pert_node* files on top of d3plot to plot the fringe on perturbed model.
