set up a structure completely above the water in aqwa

Hello, I would like to ask if it is possible to set up a structure completely above the water surface in aqwa

      Hello,

Yes, this is possible in Aqwa. The structure will not be considered during the diffraction analysis, so there will be no hydrodynamic coefficients calculated for it.

However, in a time domain calculation the structure will still experience hydrostatic and incident wave forces if it becomes (partially or fully) submerged, as long as the time domain Analysis Type is set to 'Irregular Wave Response' or 'Regular Wave Response' (i.e. no slow drift effects).

      I hope this helps!

Hello, do I need any special settings to establish a completely floating structure compared to a normal structure

For example, do I need any special settings for the approach bridge in the middle? Because he completely surfaced, quality warnings would appear in the frequency domainFor example, do I need any special settings for the approach bridge in the middle? You should not need any special settings for the bridge structure: as long as it is non-diffracting, the Aqwa solver will not give any error due to the overlapping elements at each end of the bridge.
