SubscriberHello
Many are installing the latest service pack, they are stuck with the work, it doesn't work and this error comes out!
This mistake has already been made once, please fix it! Otherwise you always have to go and change the license from
C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v241\Discovery LicenseModeGUI.exe -

SubscriberHello Charudatta
I would also like to point out another error, after updating the patch it is no longer possible to open scdoc files with a double click, even by setting the application as default.
I have to solve this problem by changing the registry file, this happens often, this problem must be solved for the next versions, the user must not perform these operations often.Regards

SubscriberHello Charudatta
If it helps you, to resolve the problem I went to Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Ansys 2024 R1 .scdoc File and changed the key by inserting this "C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v241\scdm\SpaceClaim.exe" "%1 " "UseLicenseMode=true"

Forum ModeratorHey Roberto,
Â
There does seem to be some issue with SP3, that we are looking into internally. Either way, there isn't any update for SP3 for Discovery, it will have some smaller fixes for legacy products (SpaceClaim, etc.). If it is feasible, while we figure out the issues with SP3, I would suggest you stick with SP2.

SubscriberHello
Ok fine, the important thing is that in the next R2 version they are correct.
On the web page where you download the software version I would report these BUGS at least the users know how to start the license or other errorsÂ
