SubscriberHello,
When configuring the Ansys license on Lumerical on a linux, the server field populates automatically with the right IP address but the domain field shows "Server unreachable or licenses could not be found". I installed the 2024 R2 release.
What could be the problem?
Thank you

Ansys Employee@Antonia Ghita,Â
That indicates that your client/local computer is not able to connect/communicate with the server on the TCP ports used by the Ansys license manager.
- Check with your IT/license server admins is the license manager is configured for shared license access.
>>Configuring the Ansys license manager for shared access – Ansys Optics - And make sure that your local computer can connect and allowed access to the license server on your local network (LAN).
- If you are connecting via Internet, consult with your institution's IT/admins on how to connect to the server.Â
i.e. you are at home and connecting to the server on your institution's network via the internetÂ

SubscriberHello,
I think the problem is a different one because I checked the connectivity. The problem is that the license server is running the FlexNet manager but this is not compatible with the latest Lumerical releases (the only ones available for download). I think it would be a good idea to make older releases available for download.
- Check with your IT/license server admins is the license manager is configured for shared license access.
