SubscriberHi.
While I was setting up mesh, BC etc. of a model and saving the model frequently, after a while I noticed that Geometry line of Static Structural in Workbench had a warning sign. After trying to open the geometry in SpaceClaim, Ansys popped up a warning message implying SYS.scdoc is not found in the directory. When I checked the directory, the .scdoc file was vanished for no reason. Exporting .pmdb geometry from Mechanical and importing that file to the directory with the .scdoc extension did not help. Version is 2023 R2. What caused this problem and what precautions can be taken?

Is this error occuring for multiple projects or one specific project ?
Are you working on cloud backed up folder like OneDrive or GoogleDrive ?Regards,

SubscriberHi,
It occured for one project among projects of mine. I am not working on a cloud backed up folder but I sometimes get “project already in use” warning, even though it is not opened up elsewhere. I ignore that warning all the time by clicking Unlock

Ansys EmployeeHey,
Only one single project affected seems to say that there is some level of project corruption. The "project in use" is also another indicator. These warnings will not pop up on random projects until and unless the system that you are working on crashes abruptly while the project is open or some program is affecting Workbench operation. If something like this happened, I would suggest exporting the Mechanical file to rebuild it inside a new project.Regards,
Mohan Urs
