  In electronic system, when devices are connected in linear network (one after other) signals are transmitted from one device to another device, Mostly, Power (in terms of signals) gets transmitted to next device whereas some amount of power gets reflected. Reflected power results in power loss as well damage to transmitter (Device 1).
  Reflection happens due to impedance mismatch between the devices.
  S parameter gives an insight how much power is reflected from device 2 as compared to power incident (Transmitted from device 1).
