SubscriberHey Everyone,
I performed structured analysis on an 18 Mast. Applied same meshing and same boundary conditions but in results for example 2020 R1 version is giving a deformation of 163 mm and 2022 R2 version is giving a deformation of 113 mm. Everything is same except the ansys version. Why is this difference and which results I should consider valid?

Ansys EmployeeHi Usman,Â
There might be a possibility that results can vary while using the different systems, but not as much as you have mentioned. If you change the system, the mesh size changes even after using the same element size. I am suggesting the following information so you can check and verify why it happened:
1. Please verify whether the number of elements and the number of nodes created are the same.
2. Please verify whether the large deflection and weak spring are on or off in the analysis setting.
3. Please check the ds.dat file of the model on both systems and compare the results.
Note: If you are using the same meshing and same analysis setting, then the result should not varry as much as you mentioned.
Regards,
SampatÂ
