SubscriberDear Ansys support,
We have Ansys 19.1 installed on our cluster and every time I run ansysedt "first-time configuration" is rerun. A user could get a random compute node for their runs. Given the installation is on a shared folder and users home directory are same across the cluster we get the attached error.
Can you please help resolving this issue. How can I suppress this first time configuration for a user if he/she has already run and initialized on another node?
Please let me know if you need additional information.
Best Regard,
Amit

Forum ModeratorHello Amit,

You can set this variable to avoid the check. ANS_NODEPCHECK=1

Thank you,

SubscriberAlthough it does not tell me why it keeps re-running the first-time configuration. If there is a fix for that then I don't have to instruct users to use this variable.Â
Would love to hear if there is another implicit solution.Â

Ansys EmployeeHi Amit,
Can you set the environment variable ANS_NODEPCHECK=1 in the bash profile file for all users , so it gets set each time they login ?
Thanks,
Win
