SubscriberHello,
I am trying to apply a rotating force in to a cylinder ( a very simple example of axis dynamic analysis) but I get the following message "Node not found at hit point location.". I tried also to use "Remote point" option but I do not understand how to use it. Can anyone help me? You will find attached some photos.

Ansys EmployeeHi VasilisM,
Remote displacement would be capable of rotating the cylinder. Please refer to more information here:Â https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v195/wb_sim/ds_Remote_Displacement.html
and here:
Regards,
Wenlong

SubscriberThanks for answering,
Yeah remote displacement is capable. But I cannot apply rotating force in a solid cylinder. However I can apply rotation force in a line that has cycle section setted in its properties. I cannot understand why it is possible with one way and not the other
