SubscriberHello! I have a question if and how is it possible to have two separate materials inside a mixing tank (gearbox). I have created a gearbox that would be full of oil. But I want to actually have 70% of the inside filled with air and 30% filled with oil. The rotating zone would need to be in air and liquid zones at the same time. How could I make two separate materials inside the box. Thank you!

Forum ModeratorHello Karel,
Multiphase flows modeling is not possible in Ansys Discovery. To simulate two separate materials inside a mixing tank, such as air and oil, you can use Ansys Fluent, which allows for the modeling of multiphase flows. In Fluent, you can define multiple phases and set up the volume fraction of each phase in the domain.
