I'm simulating the point coupler of a ring resonator with large radius, in FDTD. From the design GUI it looks fine:

But from the index monitor I see this:

Any idea of why it looks non-smooth?

Hello, I am not seeing any bug. Can you restart the FDTD and try again? 

I tried with a ring with radious 700 and I am getting proper index result. Please specify the dimentions and more details when you post in forum.
