Results of Torque 3D PMSG in 2022 R1.2 and 2023 R1.1 are not matching

      Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding my simulation of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG, see figure 1). The results for TORQUE in the 3D version 2022 R1.2 (see figure 2) are better than my results in the 3D version 2023 R1.1 (see figure 3). The model and its parameters are the same, and I have two servers with those versions of ANSYS.

My question is, how can I configure ANSYS Maxwell 2023 R1.1 to achieve the same TORQUE results as in the 2022 R1.2 model of the PMSG 3D?

      Figure 1. Model 3D PMSG.

      Hello d.jemoronm,

Please check mesh that would be different between 22R1 and 23R1. When they have same meshing, we will get same results.

The key is to reduce element size until having similar results. Thanks.

My meshing is set up in the same way in both versions; I'm not sure what could have changed in the new version 2023R1 that is causing me problems. However, I've been refining the mesh and the closest result in terms of torque is the image I've attached, but I don't consider it sufficient yet.

Do you have any advice on whether this is my issue or a general problem in the new version when dealing with geometry under this symmetry condition?
