Remote Displacement using APDL

      Dear all,

beforehand please excuse the assumingly rather basic question, I am quite inexperienced in using APDL-commands.

I am trying to simulate bolt pretension. The preload shall be achieved by turning the nut on the thread. So far I have implemented a remote rotation applied on the bottom side of the nut by using Workbench 2020 R1 which is working fine.

However, as I want to parameterise the angle of rotation, I am trying to model the remote displacement by using an APDL-command. I've created a named selection for the bolt surface ("Remote_Disp") as well as for the pilot node, which is located in the mass center of the bolt surface ("Remote_Disp_Center"). My approach so far was to use the "RBE3"-command in combination with "D":

      RBE3, Remote_Disp_Center, ROTZ, Remote_Disp
      D, Remote_Disp_Center, ROTZ, 1.05

However, this is not working so far, the Solver Output includes "External CE/CP has been applied on a pilot node...". My assumption is that it is necessary to change the element types of the surface as well as of the pilot node (I noticed the types 170 and 174 in the original input file), would that be correct? If so, how can I achieve that in Workbench - my approches so far ended in "

ET is not a recognized SOLUTION command, abbreviation, or macro. This command will be ignored."

Or is there something else that I am missing?

      Thanks a lot in advance!
