SubscriberHi,
I want to calculate the reluctance force required to pull the workpiece closure to the EPMC body in ansys maxwell. I have prepared the geometry , asigned materials, mesh and other things to simulate. I assigned parameter force to both workpiece and EPMC body . But the resulted value of force is very small. I wonder if this force is the relucatnce force. Please help how to determine reluctance force in this simulation.

Ansys EmployeeHello junaed.buet,
It makes sense when the result is small because it is total force when you assign parameter force on both workpiece and EPMC body.Â
You should calculate force on only workpiece, not both parts (total force should be zero).

SubscriberThanks for the feedback. I assigned force on the workpiece only. But still getting a very small force value (9.93 uN where my expectation is around 1-6 kN). I am doing magnetostatic simulation and current value 20 Amps and number of turns 100. I am attching the screen shot of materal used also. I am wondering if the process is correct to calculate the reluctance force on the workpiece.
