SubscriberNice to meet you.
I am a university student who is using ANSYS for research.
I would like to ask a question regarding the setting of the physical properties of specific heat.
The specific heat of the material in my simulation depends not only on temperature but also on time.
However, the specific heat setting of Ansys Fluent seems to be only temperature-dependent.
What kind of method is available to set the specific heat separately for time and temperature?
Isn't it possible to apply a self-defined equation to the specific heat?
I am looking forward to your advice.

Forum ModeratorYou'll need a UDF or expression to set the function up. Or is the cp a function of time at a temperature with a history component? For that you'll need a UDF and UDM to store the history part.

SubscriberThank you for your reply.
Since my knowledge of UDF configuration is limited, is it possible to do this by just setting the expression?
I do not think there is any time history for cp.

Forum ModeratorIf there's no history it should be OK. Expression functionality is changing with each release so check they're available in the 2021R2 release for material properties.
