SubscriberHi all,nTo obtain a y+plus based htc, it is necessary to specify a reference value. How to determine this value?nAnother question, As I observed, I think this method gives unrealistic values for htc in k-omega SST where y+plus must be lower than 1, do you agree?nThanks.n -

Forum ModeratorThe documentation will show the definition of the term, along with the terms. nDepending on the reference value used either in the code or the experiment it's common to see some variation. n -

SubscriberI could not find any explanation both in the documentation & your answer.nAs an ANSYS engineer, how do you use this method (y+ based heat transfer coefficient) in your simulations?n Is it usable for all turbulence models, how?nThank you.n -

Forum ModeratorI don't, I report the heat flux. HTC is a derived coefficient used in comparisons and needs to be used with care when comparing with other data. Colleagues use various HTC reports based on what is needed in the models and the application they're working on. nhttps://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/Secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v211/en/flu_ug/flu_ug_fvdefs.html should give you the definition, and it's found in the Wall Fluxes post processing tab. n

SubscriberI don't have access the link you sent. Could you please share the content. I already know how to report that value. Besides, heat flux cannot be used for all of the problems.n -
