      Dear all,

Now I'm trying to model the PMSM Outer Rotor in Rmxprt, the acutal phase wire is 7 wires of 0.55 mm diamerter... so I model this wire into two way, the first one is one single wire which has same diamter and the other one is modeling 0.55 mm 7 strands in Rmxprt. as a results, Now I'm wondering the quite a big difference between two model, Is there any people to guide why this difference occur and which one is right way to model the motor. thanks in advance.

      Best regards.

      Hi el min,

If your phase winding has 7 turns and the wire used for each turn is 0.55 mm then, you need to use 0.55 mm as the diameter of the wire with the number of strands as 1.

If your phase winding has X turns and each turn is made of 7 wires of 0.55 mm diameter then, you need to use 0.55 mm as the diameter of the wire with the number of strands as 7.

      Regards,

      Navya

      Dear Navya,

thanks for your comment. but I still have the unclear thing.

My Phase winding has 7 wires and each of them have 0.55 mm thin wire. I can not understand the meaning of X Turns... Could you please guide us more information for X turn?? There is no twsited wire in phase wire, just straight and bundle of 7 thin wire...

      Thanks in advance.

      Best regards.

I wrote X turns because I do not know how many turns you have for that case.
According to your explanation, as I understand it, there are 7 turns per phase in your winding and each turn has a single wire of 0.55mm dia. For this, you need to use 0.55 mm as the diameter of the wire with the number of strands as 1.

      Regards,

      Navya

Thanks for your comments. Actually My motor has

Pleaser refer below image for better understanding..
