SubscriberHi!
I am working on fluid dynamics simulations using Ansys Fluent 2022 R2 (student version). I need to implement a lumped model by using a 3-element Windkessel model, and I have noticed that some while ago, you had a Windkessel V3 extension available for versions 17, 17.1, and 17.2.ÂMy idea was to use it by compiling the UDF in Fluent and then loading the library. However, I have visited the Ansys Store Catalog recently and the extension is not there anymore for download. Is this going to be permanent or temporary (I have read about the technical issues)? In case this is permanent, in which other way can I implement such a model in Fluent?ÂThank you very much in advance!!! -

Forum ModeratorThe technical issue looks to be payment related, but I can't see the Windkessel download. Given the bundle was a combination of UDFs and Scheme I suspect it's not been updated to 2023Rx and with some of the solver and GUI changes it may not work. I'll see if there's anything I can share re what's happening with it, but you may have to write it yourself.Â

SubscriberThank you. The technical issue shouldn't be payment related since there are no problems regarding the liscence and the extension was free. Any news regarding the avialability of the extension?

Forum ModeratorPayment should be fixed "soon". I suspect the extension was removed as it wasn't working correctly in the new releases.Â
