SubscriberDear members,
I am now trying to use 'Control Reference Configuration' to get a pre-load configuration.
Figure 1 shows my keyword definitions, where I specified a maximum of 5 iterations. However, the simulation stopped at a termination time of 1000 ms and only one guess file was generated (i.e. no additional iterations were performed).
To valid whether this is the optimal/correct pre-loading configuration, I re-inflated the deformed model with the same pressure load. However, the geometry appears under-inflated (left in Figure 2) compared to its original configuration (right in Figure 2).
This indicates that the generated guess file was not optimal and that another iteration should have been initiated, although it was not.
Can anyone kindly suggest what might have happened here and if there is anything I can do to resolve the issue?
Yours,
Yu

Ansys EmployeeHi Yu,
As a suggestion, could you investigate the role of tolerance (TOL under the *CONTROL_REFERENCE_CONFIGURATION card) in your model? According to the keyword manual, the iterations continue until the difference is smaller than TOL, or until the maximum number of iterations (MAXITER) is exceeded.
