Propeller blade meshing

I am trying to develop structured mesh in propeller blade but unable to develop. in workbench I tried, but unstructred gives me a validted result but the y+ value is very high. Now, I need structured mesh, and I tried with icem surface mesh but still that smooth curves are not generating. Seeking your help in this direction.

If y+ is high what boundary layer settings did you use?

ICEM CFD is not a simple code to use, and using the blocking part is fairly advanced.

        Thanks Rob,

Actually I started developing mesh in ICEM and somehow I developed in ICEM, a structured mesh. But yes, it was bit tricky. But thanks for your reply.

      Hello Deep,

I recommend you to first take a cross section of the propellor blade so that you get a airfoil kind of geometry in design modeller and then create c mesh domain and then in ansys meshing through mapped face meshing and edge sizing create a conformal mesh . I have attached the AIC course link for your reference with detailed information.

I hope this solves your problem.

        Thanks CN,

I have started develpoing mesh in ICEm and somehow it is coming a structured one. Still if I find more difficulties I'll look into design modeller. And thanks for sharing this video..yes, this option is a good one. I'll try it if needed.

        Thanks

        Nath
