Problems with simulation results

  The structure consists of a substrate below and a waveguide above,exposed to air.Why does my light leak out from the waveguide?The mode light source emits TE fundamental mode.If it's a problem with the light source,how shoule I adjust the light source parameters.

  Hi Mu Si,
  I suppose these are from FDTD. When you inject the mode, can you visualize that the correct mode is being injected? I will also recommend making sure that the source and monitors are lambda/2 disatnce away from the PML Boundaries. There are a lot of parameters in FDTD that can affect simulation results.You may have to perform convergence testing.
