SubscriberI have a question about coupled field time history response. When analyzing, I set the number of steps, but when the automatic step is ON, the number of steps increases automatically and it takes a huge amount of time. Is there a good way to do this?

SubscriberSome models require a large number of iterations to deliver accurate results. Automatic Time Stepping ON is a good way to solve those models. One way you might reduce the solution time is to use a more efficient mesh, which means fewer total nodes. Keep the elements small where there are high gradients, but use larger elements where there are low gradients. Another way to reduce solution time is to reduce the amount of output written to the results file. Don't write all quantities, do you need stress and strain? Turn off the outputs you don't need. Don't write output at every time increment, write the output at every 10 or 100 increments.
