March 1, 2024 at 12:16 pmStemphanie_anansuSubscriberÂhiI am new to fluent and am working on combustion calculations for a pulverized coal boiler. After I have completed the mesh-independence validation, I am ready to do the equation parameter selection based on the experimental results. The problem I am facing is that I don't know how to select the parameter correctly. What is the path to follow in order to correctly match the numerical simulation with the experimental results in a relatively efficient way?Any help would be greatly appreciated!ÂÂ

Hi Stemphanie, I didnt fully understand your requirement. Since you mentioned that a mesh indepedence study is done - my understanding is you have completed the combustion simulation for different meshes and the results are consistent now and doesnt vary with mesh.Â
What is meant by equation parameter selection ? Could you elaborate a bit more on this, so that I could give necessary guidance.
Â

Vijay

My doubts are relatively macro.
I searched for many equations, but probably due to inexperience, many of the parameters could not correspond to the options on fluent, and at the same time there was no way to tell if the operation was correct or not. I am facing the problem of not being able to solve the fitness to cover all the equations in setting the parameters related to the equations
How should I handle this dilemma more appropriately?Thank you for your help!

Hi Stemphanie, what do you mean by "searched for many equations" ? Are you referring to the reaction steps ? How many reactions are there and are you referring to kinetics parameter when you use the statement "setting the parameters related to equations".
I'm still not clear on your requirements.
