Problem with Transient Structural simulation after Transient Thermal analysis

      Hello,

I am working on a cuboid model where I conduct a Transient Thermal simulation first and then link it to a Transient Structural simulation.

I completed the thermal analysis in Transient Thermal and set the source time to "All" in the Imported Load for Transient Structural.

However, when I start the simulation, I encounter the following error message (see attached image).

Could you please help me understand the cause of this error and how to resolve it?

      Thank you,
      Jiwon

      Hi,

The error indicates that the table stores the data from transient thermal analysis. Please try to store the results as "Equally spaced points". Refer below image:

      Thanks,

      Deepak

      Hi,

Thank you for your help earlier.

Following your advice, I changed the output controls and store results settings in both Transient Thermal and Transient Structural analyses.

However, I encountered a different error this time, as shown in the attached image.

I attempted to resolve it by setting the solver type to Direct, as suggested in other responses, but the issue persists.

Could you please provide guidance on how to fix this error?

      Thank you for your assistance.

      Regards,

      Jiwon

      Hi,

Can you try solving the non-distributed mode?

If the above solution doesn’t work then reduce the model size ( by using coarse mesh). Check for running the simulation to confirm the issue was either solver or memory.

      Thanks,

      Deepak

      Hi,

I followed your advice and tried running the simulation in non-distributed mode.

As a result, the simulation, which previously showed an error message before even starting, has now begun successfully.

Given that the file is quite large, is this typically more of a memory issue rather than a solver problem?

      Thank you for your assistance.

      Regards,

      Jiwon
